Developing a New Smart Device with Seamless EMR Integration
Wednesday, March 2, 11:00 a.m.–11:30 a.m. | Level 1, Hall G, Booth 11954
Presenter: Stephen Prince, MSE, MBA, Global Marketing Director, BD
BD is breaking new ground with a first-of-its-kind medication safety system for IV injectables, designed for seamless EMR integration. The BD Intelliport Medication Management System utilizes real-time documentation, dose measurement, drug identification, and allergy alerts to help address the most relevant challenges with delivering IV bolus push drugs. It utilizes an HL7 framework derived from IHE PCD-01 enabling direct, bidirectional integration with hospitals' existing EMR environments.
